Myrká Whisky is a 12-year-old blended malt whisky that comes from oak casks from Scotland to Iceland. There the distillate is married with the best and purest water in the world, Icelandic spring water... We believe that makes the difference.
Myrká is dedicated to our favorite Icelandic ghost story: the legend of the Deacon of Myrká. If you look closely at the moon on the front label, you will see the skulls it is covered with. Read the legend to find out more!
Our whisky is made from Scottish single malt, blended in Reykjavik and brought to drinking strength with Icelandic water. The nose is distinctive, with aromas of toffee, malt, chocolate, dried vine fruit, roasted oak, roasted chestnuts, syrup, figs, leather, cinnamon sticks and peppercorn. The taste aromas match the nose, with milk chocolate, mouse au chocolate, syrup, liquorice and chocolate muffin, followed by a long chocolatey finish.
Myrká scored 90 out of 100 points in the American magazine 'Whisky Advocate' in summer 2022 and is therefore considered an 'exceptional whisky'.
