An old legend tells of a shepherd who watched his goats jumping around happily all night long after eating a red fruit. The tired shepherd then sought advice from a nearby monastery. The curious monks prepared an infusion from the fruit - the first coffee known to mankind - and from then on they were able to stay awake late into the night.
