Bamboo Activated Carbon TAKESUMI
What is bamboo activated carbon?
Also called "Black Diamond of Japan" or "Takesumi" (take = bamboo and sumi = charcoal), it is a special type of charcoal with extremely high porosity that is activated from charred bamboo through a cooling process lasting several days. It has been used for more than 1,000 years in Asia, especially in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China.
How is bamboo activated carbon made?
Moso bamboo stalks are carbonized in a traditional Japanese clay oven (pyrolysis). The cooling process takes 7 to 28 days depending on the properties that the master kiln master (Sumi-Yaki) wants to achieve.
Why does the manufacturing process take so long?
The longer the cooling process, the more telluric energy (earth energy) the activated carbon contains. Buddhist monks and Shinto priests also call this high-quality activated carbon Shofuku Takesumi (invitation to happiness).
What are the areas of application?
It purifies, detoxifies, cleanses, filters and shields against electromagnetic radiation.
Activated bamboo charcoal adsorbs more toxins than any other known natural substance because its surface is 2.5 times finer-pored and therefore larger than all other types of wood (eg activated charcoal from coconut shells). At 1 teaspoon (1 cm3) this corresponds to an adsorption surface the size of a football field. It has antiseptic, antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal properties.
Note for taking medication
Due to the high adsorption potential, it is strongly advised not to take medication at the same time as bamboo activated charcoal. A time delay of 2 hours before and after taking medication is recommended. Bamboo activated charcoal naturally contains potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and sodium, among other things.
How does activated bamboo charcoal work when ingested?
Their natural negative charge attracts toxins in the organism and binds them to their surface, similar to an electrostatically charged duster. These are excreted naturally. The stool may have a black color, which is harmless.
Possible areas of application
Detox remedies
Take 2-3 teaspoons with warm water twice a week
Food poisoning, drug poisoning
Take 4-8 teaspoons with warm water every 2-4 hours until improvement occurs. Excess activated charcoal is excreted
Gastrointestinal complaints:
Activated bamboo charcoal binds gases and toxins in the gastrointestinal tract. Use for gastrointestinal flu, diarrhea, flatulence and hyperacidity of the stomach (such as acid reflux, heartburn) 1 teaspoon with warm water
Teeth whitening
Sprinkle some activated bamboo charcoal onto the toothpaste with a spoon and brush your teeth as usual. It is even better to coat the toothbrush with high-quality virgin coconut oil and then sprinkle activated bamboo charcoal onto it. This will turn your teeth black. Rinse your mouth with water. You may want to brush your teeth again with the clean toothbrush to remove all black residue. The charcoal is more abrasive than toothpaste, so use it weekly at first and then every 2 weeks to maintain tooth enamel.
Cosmetics
Activated bamboo charcoal naturally contains numerous minerals that are good for skin and hair. It has a good deep cleansing effect and is ideal for reducing everyday pollutants, especially in face masks and body scrubs.
Food additive
It enhances the flavor of foods, turning them black and giving them an interesting new and distinctive taste, for example in gelato, waffles or pastries.
The food should become more digestible.
Conditioners
The conditioner thoroughly removes toxins and other harmful environmental pollutants from the hair and scalp and remineralises. Particularly recommended for regular contact with chlorine (in the swimming pool). The hair gains shine and suppleness and it gives a revitalised feeling. It is suitable for daily use on all hair types.
After excessive alcohol consumption
Take 1-2 teaspoons of activated bamboo charcoal with plenty of water before going to sleep and the next morning.
What is bamboo vinegar?
Also called Takesu, it is produced by condensation of the escaping smoke during carbonization. It has a pH value of 1.8 and an acid content of 8.7%. It contains more than 200 organic substances. Its main active ingredient, creosol, workst anti-inflammatory. It also has antibacterial, antiseptic and antifungal effects. It can be used against insect bites, psoriasis, fungal infections, athlete's foot, hair loss and dandruff.
