From the bitter cold...
Chaga - a super antioxidant, an immune stimulant, a balm for diseased mucous membranes and much more. But what is Chaga actually? Where it is really cold in the far north of Scandinavia, Lapland and Siberia and where birch trees grow, you can find the Chaga mushroom sticking out from the trunk of some birch trees. The Chaga mushroom parasitizes a rather weakened birch tree for 10 - 25 years. Black and with a barky shape, the growths need several years to grow to an impressive size and develop all of their fantastic ingredients, nourished by the birch. Chaga (slate slate polypore) is considered the king of medicinal mushrooms. In many studies, it has shown significantly stronger antioxidant competence than the much more well-known medicinal mushrooms Reishi and Cordyceps. The Chaga mushroom even puts blueberries, acai berries and goji berries in the shade in this regard.
In its countries of origin, the Chaga mushroom is highly valued and is carefully and sustainably harvested from birch trees in the endless expanses of untouched forests.
In Siberia, the chaga mushroom has been used for centuries to cure stomach and intestinal diseases, but also as a general tonic and as a blood purifier.
Chaga has become more and more important in recent decades as a means of cancer prevention and immune support.
The therapeutic use of Chaga is scientifically well documented for diseases such as diabetes, psoriasis, Crohn's disease and stomach ulcers.
The Chaga mushroom has a strong cleansing effect on the human body. Over the course of a treatment, toxins are increasingly eliminated and the organism is strengthened. Inflammation
are pushed back or “processed” and harmful germs can thus be neutralized.
This also has a rejuvenating effect.
Chaga, when consumed over a long period of time, can regenerate intestinal inflammation and leaky gut.
Chaga has a healing effect on the intestines in general. In addition to the inflammatory changes in the intestinal mucosa and the resulting leaky gut syndrome, the gut-associated immune system (measured by sIg A) is often also at an imbalance. Due to its high beta-glucan content, Chaga helps the mucous membranes throughout the body. This particularly means the intestinal mucosa in both the small intestine and the large intestine. But the eyes, mouth and nose and the genital tract are also lined with mucous membranes.
Wherever there are entrances or passages in the body, a strong immune competence is required. This is because the mucous membranes are the gates that bring nutrients from outside in and waste out (e.g. colds, coughs). At the same time, anything that could harm us, such as toxins or pathogenic germs, should stay outside. The mucous membranes form antibodies called secretory immunoglobulin A. The formation of this sIgA benefits particularly from beta-glucans.
The Chaga mushroom contains water- and fat-soluble active ingredients. A pure tea extract only contains water-soluble active ingredients.
Due to the dual production method, Marlene's Chaga Dual Tea Essence contains both the fat-soluble and the water-soluble active ingredients of the Chaga mushroom.
